Advantage Payroll Employees Named Top Millennials

Christine Cesarino, the Executive Assistant to the President and Christina Solow, Partner Relationship Manager, of Advantage Payroll Services Long Island, headquartered in Freeport, recently received the prestigious Long Island Business News Millennial Award at the recent LIBN awards dinner held in Woodbury, New York. The LIBN Millennial Award recognized Ms. Cesarino and Ms. Solow for their contributions as members of the Long Island community’s millennial generation for their public service, charitable endeavors and their significant strides in the business world.

Ms. Cesarino joined Advantage in 2008 and is currently the executive assistant to Advantage founder and CEO Rob Basso. Ms. Solow began as an intern with Advantage in 2010 and went on to work in the marketing and sales departments. She is currently the firm’s CPA Relationship Manager.

2016 marked Advantage Payroll Services Long Island 20th year in business. It is the largest independently owned HR, payroll and tax filing company in the New York Metropolitan area. Ms. Cesarino and Ms. Solow have both been directly responsible for planning events and promotions in celebration of the firm’s milestone year.

“As a millennial, it is important for young women to be recognized for their contributions in business. On a personal level, I can take this award and show my daughter that women in business and the workforce make valuable contributions and are recognized for their hard work and dedication. “Having worked with a number of charities over the years, I recognize the importance of community involvement with charitable causes and giving one’s time and resources to help those who are less fortunate. Through my work in the local community and my continuing commitment to professional development, I want to continue to inspire other millennials – especially women – to become involved in their communities and maintain ‘greatness’ in their career fields,” said Ms. Solow.

“Christina believes in the connection between business and ‘giving back’ to the community. She took it upon herself to organize a coat drive for the needy at the office and coordinated a corresponding clothes drive at her mother’s clothing store in Huntington, New York. Over the past four years, Christina has donated thousands of items of clothing, delivering carloads to a soup kitchen. I couldn’t be prouder to have Christina on my team. She’s a perfect example of how hard work, dedication and a commitment to community leads to success,” said Rob Basso, Advantage Payroll founder and CEO.

“Christine has been a big part of supporting not only my ever-changing responsibilities but also the company’s growth over the years. After all this time, we are a team that work seamlessly together and I can’t imagine the last eight years without her. She’s a true example of a dynamic, driven young professional dedicated to making her organization and her community a better place.  She is an exemplary role model for young women.”

Ms. Cesarino and Ms. Solow were two of a group of young business and not-for-profit leaders honored with the LIBN Millennial Award. Recipients were selected based on their business leadership skills, success, integrity, innovation, business vision, commitment to excellence, financial performance and community service.
